Her silky smooth DJ mixes, unbeatable track selection, and energetic performance have defined XONORA as an unstoppable force behind the decks. With her relentless gig schedule, Tokyo’s fastest rising star shows no sign of slowing her pace as she rapidly ascends up the ranks. 2015 marked the beginning of a new era for XONORA as she broke out from the cocoon of her former stage name LX-E and spread her wings to take off towards greater heights.
An incredibly active and in-demand DJ in Tokyo’s club circuit, XONORA can frequently be spotted at many of Tokyo’s top venues, spinning at the likes of Japan’s top venues such as WOMB, ageHa, and Sound Museum Vision, and appearing on numerous other stages from in-store DJ appearances to underground clubs to the most luxurious lounges.
In 2012, as a member of the all-female DJ collective QUISS, she also took the next step and made her festival debut, spinning at peak time at The Hacienda Oiso Festival in Kanagawa, Japan. Her exploding popularity was further evidenced in 2013 when she ranked in Japan’s Top 50 DJs in club culture magazine iLoud’s yearly 50/50 DJ ranking alongside the top names in the country. The same year also saw her launch her new concept event AZURIA, aiming to rejuvenate and revolutionize Japan’s progressive house scene. The event has been based at the world-famous club WOMB for over 3 years, making it one of the club’s longest running support events and solidifying Xonora’s position as perhaps one of the only female DJs who holds a regular monthly weekend gig at WOMB.
2014 was another significant year, with XONORA ranking in Japan’s Top 50 DJ ranking for a second year in a row and embarking on her first overseas tour in Malaysia–finishing it all out by ringing in 2015 behind the decks atop a helipad in the heart of Kuala Lumpur!
2015 took her even further, to Seoul, Bangkok, Borneo, and beyond, and in 2016 XONORA’s sound continues to mature and evolve as she ventures into even further territories, including an extended set at legendary party island Koh Phangan.
From here on out there’s no turning back. While never abandoning her Tokyo roots or commitment to raising the bar in the domestic scene, XONORA will also continue to blaze forward as an artist to look out for on the worldwide stage.
