Kuala Lumpur’s first large-scale music-centric flea market, A Sunday Affair (ASA) returns to , on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, this Sunday Nov 26 with not one but two music stages at the Quad and Rhapsody Square.
, held every last Sunday of the month until March this year, was conceived in late 2015 and is a signature programme of TREC – KL's largest entertainment and F&B hangout.
Following an eight-month hiatus, ASA is back with a completely new line-up for music fans and with a stronger focus on live bands and acts in Malaysia and around the region. The first outing for 2017 / 2018 editions on Nov 26 will also see new curators – Callen Tham better known as TheManCalledUncle and Soundscape Records.
On Stage 1 at Quad, the programme will take music and ASA fans on a live musical journey with ENTERPRISE, and headlining act .
Over at Stage 2 over at Rhapsody Square, singer-songwriters / acoustic acts
and ROHAS REMI, take centrestage.
Over 20 musicians, including DJs, are a expected to perform at ASA next Sunday. This is a rain or shine event and admission is free.
They will cover a diverse genre of music in two stages from pop, rock, alternative, disco + dance-punk and more.
Curator Callen Tham says: "For each edition, ASA will introduce more bands and live acts to platform their unique works and musicianship, and emerging acts who have been making waves with their music in recent times."
ASA will see Craft Army artisan market on every edition, too, at Electric Boulevard and Rhapsody Square. Expect more than 20 vendors. Zouk KL will also join ASA with its merchandise stall at Quad.
Looking to next year, ASA will celebrate its Year 1 bash on its March 2018 edition on March 25, with much fanfare for fans. The music-centric flea market will also see new themes from March 2018.
TREC's co-founder Cher Ng adds: "The revamp of ASA aims to draw new fans to the monthly event. The new & improved ASA is part of TREC's 2018 new signature programmes and we are excited to present a new musical format." ASA Dec takes place on Dec 17 with a neon light theme."
