ASA! – KL's largest outdoor music-centric flea market is set to celebrate its first year this Saturday 24 March 2018 at TREC KL. Conceived in 2016, ASA! (aka A Sunday Affair) has since seen more than 60 acts [live acts and DJs] perform on its stages, playing a variety of genres from pop, alternative, rock, hip hop electronica, pop-house, R&B and more. It is, amongst other things, a platform for local musicians to present original music in English, Mandarin and Bahasa, alongside covers.
This Saturday, local bands Wanted Symphony, Donamarie, Flying Pan and The Blues Hats will perform on two stages at Quad and Rhapsody Square. For the first time, it will also feature an act from 17app whose performance will be streamed live via the mobile application.
Craft Army will take place with some 30 vendors at Hive block and Rhapsody Square, and fringe acts such as stilt walkers, fire eaters, jugglers and belly dancers are also set to perform.
To mark the special occasion, limited edition ASA! totes and t-shirts will be given away. Details will be published this Thursday, March 22, on the ASA! FB event page.
On Saturday, ASA! closes the gig at 3am with an After-Party at the newly opened Fu Luck Bar – featuring DJ Shazz and lots of house music.
