Award winning Australian comedian Laura Davis is visiting KL for the first time, performing her critically acclaimed one-woman show, Ghost Machine
GHOST MACHINE is something wildly new for the thriving Kuala Lumpur comedy scene: setting laugh-out-loud standup comedy on a collision course with existential performance art, and it has been consistently rewarded by four and five star reviews across the world.
Laura performs dressed as a ghost, lit only by a lamp strapped to her back. She wants to know why the handles on maple syrup bottles are so tiny - and why you don’t kill yourself. You won’t see this on Netflix.
GHOST MACHINE is brought to KL by Australian comedy producer Toby Sullivan, who has previously toured Harith Iskander and Douglas Lim to Australia.
Toby says “KL is the creative and industry centre of the southeast Asian comedy scene, one of the best places in the world to be making and seeing comedy today. We’re thrilled to participate in it with Laura’s outstanding show.”
GHOST MACHINE runs for two weeks in the intimate, temprary performance space of Five Arts Centre’s Kotak Studio.
