Local singer-songwriter Brendan de Cruz launches his third record, "III", this coming 17th of August, 2018 at The Bee, Publika.
Born and bred in Malaysia, singer-songwriter, Brendan James de Cruz is gradually making his mark in the Malaysian independent music scene. With an experience of 10 years and counting, de Cruz now has numerous original songs all written with passion beyond words. His music, as described by his friends, is sad but heartfelt. He did not, however, begin truly writing until recent years. His incredible journey started out in a band with his brother during his high school years playing mainly at functions, pubs, and open mics.
Eventually, they went their separate ways and de Cruz persisted in the music world juggling shows and studies in media technology. This life, however, did not come without its hardships.
Having released his debut EP, Even So, on September 2016, Brendan de Cruz has been up and around town with promo shows, getting his music out there as much as possible.
Doors open at 8PM, and they have a bunch of amazing talent performing as well.
Opening acts : Battle Bloom, Volatile followed by the Brendan de Cruz showcase. Closing act: Nadir. DJ Set : Leonard Sinclair (Dranoel Sinclair). And to host the entire night, they have local comic, Prakash Daniel gracing the stage.
