Gryphon Production Sdn Bhd hosts an audio-visual fair this 5 to 7 August 2022, from 10 am to 8pm daily. Called ‘Gelombang 2022’, will be held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, at Melia Hotel, Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. In its debut year, Gelombang 2022 will be a cosy event spread over 3 floors at the Hotel.
“We have noticed that due to the Covid situation many hifi enthusiasts are missing a fair for the last 2-3 years. So, it struck us that there is a need to put on a great spanking fun audio-visual fair. At Gryphon Production we believe in pushing the envelope. Those who attend Gelombang 2022 will have a new experience. A fresh perspective,” Wilson Teoh, director of Gryphon said.
“Of course, the exhibitors will be displaying the latest hifi and home theatre systems as an audio and visual feast. Products on display will range from a few hundred ringgit to a few hundred thousand ringgits. There is something for every enthusiast. There are also a few overseas exhibitors who come from Singapore and Australia. It is our desire that when international travel is more convenient, we shall see exhibitors from Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan for starters,” he added.
Further explaining, “Other than hi-fi and home theatre systems on display, visitors can expect to enjoy live performances, talks and workshops. We need to ensure that attendees have a memorable experience. We want Gelombang 2022 to be a more interactive and engaging affair”
“Gelombang 2022 intends to make the event more family friendly; this event will be a fun outing for the family and not just the ardent hifi enthusiasts. It is about music, to be able to enjoy music and not about the hifi systems only. The hifi system is only a component that delivers music, but the music itself is what we need to enjoy.”
“Having been in the concert, entertainment and events industry for 2 decades, we want to now bring in all our wealth of experience and inject it into the audio-visual industry. Times are changing and we need to evolve so that all stakeholders benefit. That is why we are also engaging a professional ticketing company as our partner,” Teoh continued.
Local recording artists such as The Shang Sisters, Z Yan, Yudi, David Gomez, 2V1G, Zoey Hui, Ena Hon, An Honest Mistake are just a few who will be performing at the event. The music is programmed to cater to a wide genre and age group of visitors.

The objective of Gelombang 2022 is not just to be another event or fair, it intends to be a platform which highlights local talent, be it those in the entertainment industry or designers and makers of audio and visual components.
At Gelombang 2022 they have a Dr Anwar Ali who just started to manufacture his own music server. It is of his own design; it is locally manufactured and it sounds great.
