Havana Social Club make a return to No Black Tie this 15-16 February 2019 and come with the intention to promote Cuban culture, Havana Social Club is a Cuban and Latin American ensemble that was formed by percussionist, Pablo Calzado, six years ago.
The band is made up of musicians from Cuba, Singapore, Venezuela and USA, and they share a passion for the sound and the vibrancy of Cuban and Latin music. They are also a tribute to the Buena Vista Social Club that is an important influence to the international audience, and they’re no stranger to bringing on the groove.
Havana Social Club’s main purpose is to expose the Cuban culture and its music to Asia and the world. Featuring Pablo Calzado (drums), Angela Vergas (vocals), Lid Ferrera (vcals), Aynsley Green (keys) & Ethan Seow (bass).
