These are my pastiches of the KL Underground Dance Music Scene seen and heard from my eyes and hearts as I traversed the scene over the years.
Moving slightly forward in time from last week's vinyl 2000s mix to 2008 to Zouk KL, Jalan Ampang during its first Kuala Lumpur incarnation. The Singapore origin superclub first opened it's second club here in 2004.
With a monthly Saturday guest residency from the back end of 2007 to mid 2008, around the same time as my Atrium, Heritage Row, KL appearances (see My J-Sun 2). DJs who have featured alongside me for Hypnotica have included Nicky C, Terence C, Ian Ross, Jo Hart, Pelle Grosso.
This mix features tracks from the likes of Pig & Dan, Tiger Stripes, Ida Engberg, Guy Gerber, Portico, Shlomi Aber, Audiofly, Slam, Gabriel Ananda and more.
