A live electronic set this Friday that will please both chin strokers and people who just want to dance. Based on Kyoto (BOK) is a Japanese dance music unit consisting of Daichi, a DJ and producer, and Marron, a guitarist for Dubdub On-Seng, Dubmarronics and Datenryu. BOK was formed in 2006 to search and create a groove that incorporates a very unique Japanese dynamic with a variety of other musical genres such as house, electro, ambient, dub, soul, jazz and rock. They’ve so far released four 12" and 1 LP, highly acclaimed by connoisseurs such as Gilles Peterson and allowed them to play alongside the like of Theo Parrish.

CEE Album Launch. Cee has been making music for 2 decades now and Dub has been his musical guardian all along. From his downbeat days in Microfish (a project under Jazzanova's Sonarkollektiv), and his bass-heavier days with the Al-Haca Sound System, touring the world in the name of Dub. Alongside Stereotyp he helped shape bass music in the 2000s until he moved from Vienna to KL. Cee’s Nonsense DUB lab is based by the rainforest, in Malaysia. Here he worked on Bass Sekolah and finished The Dusun Sessions featuring the likes of Daedelus, Perera Elsewhere, Phon.o and many more. Last year he released CEE 2008 - 2018 on cassette tape and fell in love with the analogue format. Already in the release pipeline are projects featuring Viona of The Venopian Solitude, Arabyrd, Rider Shafique and a whole techno side of Cee. Come celebrate this mini album with me and his amazing homies. CEE Sound System is gonna make you go deep, dance all night long, without any genre pigeon-holing. Dub loves you. The cassette tape release is in collaboration with Indonesia's Orange Cliff Records. The album will also be available on all streaming platforms.
