Featuring:
Gabriel Lynch: Australian singer songwriter Gabriel Lynch has spent much of his adult life travelling and wowing audiences across Asia, Europe and his own home turf with his breathtaking live performances. With his powerful command of the stage, he can incite a pin-drop silence as quickly and effortlessly as he can instigate a soaring, cathartic singalong. Lynch now resides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In between tours and expanding upon his already extensive catalogue of studio releases, he composes music professionally for radio, film and television on behalf of Maveriq Studios.
Jay Ridzwan: Malaysia born singer-songwriter. Grew up in the 80s and 90’s, he spent most of his time listening to Seattle music with his major influences are Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana just to name a few.
Sarah Daniella: started singing at the age of 10, influenced largely by gospel and soul music. Her love for the blues developed later on as did her love for rock. She blends these influences to create a unique fusion of music. Over the years, Sarah has been a part of a few musical groups and bands. She has more recently begun to focus on her solo project, Sarah Daniella Music. Joined by Ravi Shankar on drums and percussions, the two of them perform a mix of original songs and familiar standards by acts such as The Beatles, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Madonna and the likes.

FEBRUARY 25: Classical Music with Christian Leotta at No Black Tie
A native of Catania in Italy, Christian Leotta is considered one of the finest interpreters of Beethoven. In 2002 he completed the cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas in Montreal at just the age of 22, and was then awarded with the prestigious President’s Medal by the President of the Italian Republic, Hon. Carlo Azeglio Ciampi in 2004. Following the brilliant success of his live performances, in 2007 French Canadian label Atma Classique signed Christian Leotta to record the 32 Piano Sonatas in a collection of five double-CD sets which was released between 2008 to 2014.
Having already played in more than 50 countries across 5 continents, Leotta has worked with major orchestras such as the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Wiener Kammerorchester, the Italian RAI National Television Orchestra and Milan’s Symphony Orchestra “Giuseppe Verdi” to name a few. He has also been invited to give masterclasses in over 30 Universities and Conservatories around the world, including Japan, Abu Dhabi, Brazil, Canada, Italy and Australia. Christian Leotta will present piano compositions written by two of the greatest composers of the Classical and early Romantic period, Beethoven & Schubert.

FEBRUARY 26: Alena Murang: Spirit at No Black Tie KL
Born to a Kelabit father and an English-Italian mother, Alena Ose’ Murang is an artist, musician and dancer, all rolled into one. The 29 year old’s interest and identity in Kelabit culture and traditions was nurtured by her mother, an anthropologist, and she is now armed with a mission in bringing positive changes to society and the environment, and preserve her Bornean heritage.
Growing up in Kuching, Sarawak, she took Ngarang (traditional dance) classes and learnt to pay the sape’, a traditional four-stringed lute of the Orang Ulu. With an alluring and mellifluous voice, Alena now performs tunes from the Kenyah and Kelabit tribes with a refreshing contemporary approach and continues to share stories and songs to the people of Malaysia and internationally.
