After its sold out debut in 2018, klpac is presenting the second instalment of its all-time popular golden oldies concert Yesterday Once More 2 with the support of Creador Foundation, klpac’s Partner. They turn the clock back in time with timeless classics such as Rose, Rose, I Love You, Put Your Head on My Shoulder, Mr. Bojangles, Big Spender, Ain’t No Sunshine, Imagine and I Will Survive, performed by Joel Wong, Lai Suk Yin, Omar Ali, Phraveen Arikiah and Rachel Liu, Serene Chng under the direction of Ian Chow and backed by a 5-piece band.
Pentas 2 will be turned into a lounge setting complete with a bar manned by celebrity bartenders Joe Hasham OAM and Lawrence Selvaraj. Relax and unwind to some of the greatest hits from the 50s to the 70s by some of the best known names such as Frankie Lane, Patti Page, Paul Anka, Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Bassey and Olivia Newton John.

Cyanus at NBT
Cyanus are a 5-piece progressive fusion band from Kuala Lumpur, that delivers a unique sound moulded by a variety of different musical flavours ranging from Progressive Rock to Jazz/Funk to Folk. The band has composed and performed two originals, Place of Place and Trueness, and has been invited to perform live on Malaysia's local radio station, AiFM. Cyanus became the grand prize winner of the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival satellite show, Battle of the Bands in 2018.

Sound Unite: A Prelude To City Roars! Fest 2020
"Sound Unite" is held in conjunction with 台馬音樂人交流會 Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange from 30th - 31 August, at KLPAC. It is also a prelude to their festival next January. The showcase will feature local Chinese act 變胎 BandTai, the band released their debut album in July and have recently toured Taiwan, performing at 覺醒音樂祭 Wake Up Festivald several sideshows as well. Their set will feature Nuno Chen, vocalist of Taichung band TONIC. They will be joined by Prasasti, a KL-based four piece band. Prasasti is influenced by a wide variety of music, ranging from Alternative Rock, Post Punk, to Trip Hop. Also on the bill is Akinou. Set against expansive electronic landscapes, AKINOU explores concepts blending contrasting forces to create a feeling of unexpectedness. Their genre is experimental artpop and they are currently working on an EP.

Al Terry is an Australian blues frontman whose soulful vocals and harmonica instrumentals are delivered in the amplified harp tone of Chicago blues masters such as Big Walter Horton and Little Walter. He incorporates swinging West Coast Jump Blues and Rock & Roll into a night of high-energy, toe tapping up-tempo music; punctuated by some low-down, speak-easy Blues.
The Purple Haze Blues band is made up of Malaysian Blues legends from Blues Gang: ZZi Blues on Lead Guitar and Shaik Karim on Drums; they are joined by the solid talent of Shah Shariff on bass. The Purple Haze Blues Band has been rocking live venues throughout Malaysia for 20 years.
Al’s collaboration with Purple Haze stretches back 15 years. They’ll be performing songs from their recently released Album, combining influences such as Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, James Cotton, Kim Wilson, Charlie Musslewhite, Joe Filisko, James Harmon, Jay Geils Band, Big Joe Turner, as well as some of Al Terry’s own Blues.

Making their Bobo KL debut – Nadir; comprising 8 musicians all of whom play and sing – have headlined festivals in Malaysia and across Asia; The Cambodian Water Festival with superstar Laura Mam and the Borneo International Jazz Festival featuring a collaboration with Zee Avi. Nadir is currently working with Malaysian legend, Zainal Abidin, to release an updated version of his iconic hit, Hijau. Meanwhile, the band is set to release a new music video on Malaysia Day 2019 and a new single titled, Nafas in October 2019. Be the first to hear these songs live, before they are officially released, this Merdeka Weekend!
A fusion of everything uniquely Malaysian, Nadir combines carnatic vocals with rock riffs, with hints of the Malay folk song genre permeating through percussive tabla cadences and tin whistles sing alongside saxophone lead melodies.
