Formed in 2017. Johan Sultan & The Moonbeams is a project band led by Johan Sultan specifically for David Bowie tribute shows. The band have been involved in 3 very well celebrated David Bowie tributes at No Black Tie and The Gaslight KL. In 2018 the band presented David’s final masterpiece Blackstar the entire album from start to finish. Definitely it was a night to remember. And after 9 months, they are back for a weekly show playing David’s classics and hits every Wednesday this November.

Dia de los Muertos carries a uniquely Mexican stamp, so join NBT for one vibrant evening of tradition where we honour and celebrate the beauty of life.
Born and raised in Mexico City Armando is a pioneer; he was the first percussionist from salsa orchestras that started playing with the most relevant jazz bands and pop artists, he open the door for a new generation of percussionists to perform in big stages and concerts.
To mention a few, he played for 11 years with Hector Infanzon’s quartet, he played, toured and recorded with Armando Manzanero, probably the best known Mexican composer internationally, Jazz bands as the legendary Sacbe among many others, and he is currently playing and touring with the pop singer Arjona.

Azim Sulaiman is a singer-songwriter from Subang Jaya that has more than 20 years of songwriting and live performance experience. Apart from Kuala Lumpur, Azim has also performed in Melbourne for charity events and numerous functions, and has also appeared on-air with SBS and Triple Z radio station between 2012 to 2015. As an educator, Azim founded students’ music bands namely VOCSTIC (in 2010) and ARCHITONES (in 2018) and has performed with these bands at university and international levels. “Acoustic Resonance” was an initial idea by McBE, Albert Sirimal & Allan G to feature a series of soulful folk rock music in their own rendition. It will be a night filled with 3 raspy soulful vocals along with vocal harmony and distinctive guitar arrangements of their own. The Trio attempts to blend in the sounds of rock with their existing folk repertoire (70’s folk rock), adopting the use of acoustic/electric instrumentation.

Samantha Diana will be performing at 10:30pm. She started singing at the age of 6. Participating in the school choir and taking a two year music course consisting of guitar, vocals, and drums has given her a wide variety of skills. She's been performing Jazz, Rock, Reggae and Funk at open mics & private functions ever since.
Gregory Ramanado, PJ's finest entertainer that's been rocking and crooning any chance he gets, will be performing at 9pm. He's worked with the likes of Michael Bolton, cause he's got too much soul and has performed on many different stages, sung every kind of song apart from opera. But nothing beats watching him without a band, with just a guitar in his hand, singing his favourite tunes from Bob Marley, Frank Ocean, Oasis, Radiohead and many other classics. Tay Cher Siang and Rizal Tony at NBT
Tay Cher Siang has been promoting jazz in Malaysia for many years now, giving Master classes, talks, and seminar. He is frequently invited by foreign artists to perform in No Black Tie, the premium jazz club in Kuala Lumpur, and has garnered a following of music enthusiasts. He is currently serving as the Music Director for The Venue at Pavilion KL. Tay’s main creative outlets are his own bands WVC TRiO +1 and Unit Asia, a multi-national jazz super group. With WVC TRiO +1, Tay has performed many concerts, both locally and abroad in tours and seminars.
Rizal Tony is a full time music educator, jazz guitarist, musician, music director, music arranger and composer from UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA) who collaborates with local, international musicians and artists . After spending more than a decade performing, teaching, arranging and composing in jazz and popular music. Rizal has landed coverage in music performance outlets in Malaysia and around the world. He has also accompanied artists like Noryn Aziz, Rachel Guerzo, Ruffedge, V.E, Adibah Noor, Aishah, Sharizan, and many more. In addition to his extensive teaching and performing experience, Rizal Tony is a trained music composer and arranger.
