The revival of in-person events sees three powerhouses of the local music scene unite to establish From The Live Decks. The first series of this inauguration by Wired Music Week, DJs Playground, and AMP Asia introduces re:LIVE, a 3-days 2-nights boot camp taking over Kuala Lumpur’s first social hotel - Momo’s KL. The event invites local music talents and enthusiasts to relive their creative musical journey through a weekend creative escapade.
#1 US dance music label - Astralwerks joins in the initiative by powering the creative music challenges, including panellists from respective fields of music production, social trends, and unique skill sets; it sets the bar higher in actualizing deeper conversations and explorations beyond creative boundaries during the weekend staycation custom boot camp.
Panelists include MFMF, DJ Fuzz, TikTok content creator Joyvnn with her self-made success and growth of over 4.4 million followers, local duo producer group ENOPE, and NAHSYK.
“This pandemic has rippled a change in the way we consume and contextualize music. We need a detox from past conventional methods and [re:LIVE] serves that purpose for a fresh restart to the meaning of community building,” says John Beh - Founder of Wired Music Week. He claims, “It’s important for us to reset and relook into the perspectives of the upcoming generation of music talents.”
Consequently, Creator of DJs Playground / RedBull Thre3style Champion - DJ Reeve mentioned, “Bringing the idea [of FTLD] to life requires maximum effort and commitment. Being able to curate something so special with like-minded partners motivates my team and I to explore practical methods to continue inspiring newcomers in the music scene - without eliminating the fun.” Brendan Lim, President of AMP Asia agrees by expressing, “It is rare to see the merge of live, electronic, and mashup of different music genres and representation in one epicentre, which brings our team great honour to be the first to host re:LIVE in Malaysia.”
[re:LIVE by From The Live Decks powered by Kardinal] caters to almost every music creator in the scene. This fully immersive weekend experience will take place on 4 - 6 December 2021, offering up to 77 in-person slots across 60 available rooms at Momo’s Kuala Lumpur.
