Nobu Kuala Lumpur gives diners something to look forward to this October with the Exclusive Selection For Two menu that features five courses, two of which can be upgraded to more premium dishes.
Having spoiled diners with a number of Signature Dishes in the previous promotion, Nobu is taking this opportunity to introduce their guests to a wider array of options that represent the newer creations and unsung heroes of their menu – delectable dishes that will have the most affluent connoisseurs chomping at the bit. If you haven't visited before take a look at our Nobu KL Review 2021, Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.
The menu is priced at RM398++ for two people with two upgrade options featuring the Scallop Karashi Su Miso with Caviar and Lobster Tempura with Carrot Sauce; both priced at RM55.
“This is a menu that the kitchen team have been wanting to put together for a while, it’s a culmination of all the newer creations that our guests may not be familiar with. We have a really profound range of dishes and it’s impossible to feature all of them on our promotional offerings so we decided to use this opportunity to shine a light on a few that we think our guests will truly enjoy,” said Executive Chef, Philip Leong.
This menu also features a Sushi Selection course courtesy of Nobu Kuala Lumpur’s newest Head Sushi Chef, Masami Ouchi who joined the team last month. Known as Chef Masa, the seasoned veteran has been with the Nobu brand for 16 years starting at Nobu London in 2005 and helming the Head Sushi Chef role at four other Nobu restaurants across the globe, he is widely regarded as one of the best at his craft amongst the Nobu brand.
“My move to Kuala Lumpur has been in the works for some time and I’ve been eager to get behind the sushi bar and continue doing what I love to do. Although we’re in different parts of the globe, Nobu is a close-knit family and I’ve been in contact with some of the team here for some years – it’s good to finally meet them in person. Looking at the preparation and thought that went into this menu, I have no doubt that this will be a memorable five courses that guests will enjoy,” said Head Sushi Chef Masa.
The Exclusive Selection For Two begins with Moriawase comprising Oyster Shooter with Ponzu Sauce alongside Salmon with Kelp in Jalapeno Dressing and the only Signature Dish featured, Whitefish Tiradito Style. Guests that choose to upgrade this course for RM55 will enjoy an additional serving of Scallop Karashi Su Miso with Caviar. This is followed by the Chef’s Sushi Selection meticulously handpicked by Nobu Kuala Lumpur’s Chef Masa.
The first main course features a crunchy and flavourful serving of Umami Seabass Tempura with Carrot Sauce. For those that have a hankering for something slightly more premium, there is an upgrade option to substitute this dish with Lobster Tempura with Carrot Sauce for RM55.
The penultimate course features a tender cut of Braised Wagyu Short Rib with Apple Teriyaki that offers a unique contrast in flavours without overpowering the natural beef taste. To end the five-course culinary journey, guests can indulge in delicate and creamy Tofu Bavarian on Monaka with Jasmine Sorbet and Palm Sugar Mochi.
