RIUH continues its journey in bringing the arts closer to the community with RIUH 24/7

RIUH continues to serve, support and feature Malaysian creatives with performing arts showcase, capacity building and online platform

Everyone’s favourite creative platform RIUH, continues its journey in bringing the arts closer to the community. Three years since inception and having proudly supported over 1000 homegrown businesses with the accumulated transaction amount of RM4.7m.

RIUH has featured over 800 creative talents through live acts, activities, workshops and collaborations and had the privilege of hosting 222,000 visitors throughout 26 physical editions and activated a range of alliances via over 30 partnerships in support of the creative industry.

2020 was challenging as the Covid 19 pandemic pushed boundaries but the silver lining of it is it inspired the launch of a myriad of new initiatives and ideas including RIUH Talks, RIUH in your Homes, RIUH Raya Rumah, RIUH Lunch Break and RIUH in a Box.

This year, besides all the exciting initiatives already under away, RIUH is launching RIUH 24/7 - its online movement this April 2021. The online arm will complement the physical platform to connect creatives with the community based on five key pillars: Retail pop-up stores, Food, Live Acts, Workshops and Showcases.

RIUH will also continue to bring you more of Malaysia’s best creative products, talents, happenings and services via its social media platforms. If you want the RIUH touch at your very own event, RIUH Curates will provide a service to curate client events.

Marissa Wambeck, Head of RIUH said, “Our mission to bring the arts and the community closer together is further tested but enhanced by the hardships endured especially by the independent artisans, talents and homegrown brands RIUH are synonymous with. RIUH’s programs in 2021, driven by the PRISMA Initiative to support the creatives by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (KKMM) aims to remind and reinforce the Rakyat, of the vital role the arts play in everyday lives especially in difficult times.

Key initiatives under the PRISMA program include RIUH Directory - a website that acts as an online, curated platform; RIUH Talks - a capacity-building programme for aspiring and up-and-coming creative entrepreneurs; and The RIUH Show - a curated video series showcasing performances from the performing arts and music sector.

RIUH is a curated creative platform that aims to enhance the creative ecosystem by connecting homegrown brands, creative entrepreneurs, creators and artists to the community.
