Local imprint & music creative agency SaturdaySelects Launch new podcast series – SYNC

Local imprint and music creative agency SaturdaySelects have been keeping the music flowing the past few months with their season of Saturday Selects on Air featuring live streams and radio shows.

They now kick off the New Year with a new podcast series – SYNC!. Hosted by SaturdaySelects main man Roshan, in collaboration with @tenpointsup, the podcast looks to dig into the minds of those behind the scenes and on the front lines of our industry and understand why they do what they do, and what makes them tick.

They will be covering topics across the spectrum from DJing, being a live event promoter, a little bit of history on our local Malaysian nightlife scene, graphic design and what the future possibly holds of us.

The topics that we will cover on each episode include getting to know the guests a little bit more, their experience working in the industry and discussing opinions on subjects and headlines from the news both locally and internationally,” SaturdaySelects honcho Roshan explains.

Our guests on the podcast are not limited to just musicians in the industry but the people that work within the scene as graphic designers, filmmakers, music curators, promoters, venue owners and more. Some of our upcoming guests include Adam Matthews, Muntasir “Monty” Muhammad, and more”, he adds.

Having already launched their first episode earlier this week, their first guest on SYNC is a name that has been synonymous with the Malaysian hip-hop movement for almost 2 decades. A rapper, entrepreneur and music enthusiast, this guy has played pivotal roles in breaking new artists, providing platforms for rising artists and helping colleagues in the industry like us when we first started SaturdaySelects, we’d like to introduce you to Jin Hackman!

The podcast will be a fortnightly series available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud and AnchorFM
