The Warehouse Sessions is back as a curated evening of independent wholesome indie goodness happening twice* a month on Saturdays (this one on 27 October) at Ril’s Bangsar, KL Come with an open mind, and you will surely have a blast. This session features:
Alien Lisptick Fire: Malaysian based modern indie rock band influenced and inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, etc. Actively performing since 2015, the band is determined to put out music that is engaging and “pleasant to the ears”.

Dowandofla: Ampang born and based rapper-songwriter. Transcribing experiences from his own life and the lives of the people around him into his lyrics, he blends his own personal tongue-in-cheek rapping chops with the style of his greatest influences Russel, Manilla Grey, Sik-K and Cjamm to produce songs which are truly his own. His debut single “My Whip” was released in 2017 under the record label 40k and it received great applause from the local scene. He has since released 7 genre-bending singles, namely Cuba-Cuba, Santai Sabtu, Sunday Blues, Say My Name, Idowan and Gila Kapas, all of which are instantly recognisable as Dowandofla tunes.

Zhana: Her influences range from ABBA, Adele, Backstreet Boys, Carpenters, Celine Dion, Cranberries to Mariah Carey, Shakira, Whitney Houston and more. Zhana actively performs live at open mics and functions. Zhana's first single, "Keawangan" was released in 2008 and was a hit on the local airwaves. She is now focused on getting her second single out next year.

Nazim Ifran: Indie, pop singer-songwriter from Kuala Lumpur. He began writing music at early age and drawing inspiration from Zee Avi, John Mayer, Radiohead and Coldplay. In 2013, he started performing in and around Kuala Lumpur, and in 2014 released his debut single “Puteri Khayalan”. He has since actively been promoting his music through various platforms.

Open Mic Malaysia is the brainchild of Shaneil Devaser, frontman of The Endleaves. Established in 2012 and currently operating in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and Johor Bahru, Open Mic Malaysia aims to create sustainable avenues for bedroom musicians, singer-songwriters and professional musicians to share their music and experiences with each other and the public, over evenings of wholesome indie goodness.
