It’s that time of the year, to wine and dine and be of good cheer. At Marini’s on 57, guests can do just that this December as they enjoy year-end festive delights in the restaurant’s sky-high setting.
Six Course Christmas meal
The six-course Christmas meal starts off a delicate appetiser – sweet Hokkaido Scallop on parsnip puree, topped with black truffle shavings and caviar. Up next is the flavourful house-made Lobster Tortelli with macadamia nuts and citrus lobster foam, followed by Turkey Confit with roasted cabbage.
For the protein, go light with Coral Trout with cauliflower, leek gratin and shaved black truffles, or opt for the meatier Roasted Lamb Rack and Lamb Tartlet with porcini mushrooms, truffle Taleggio cheese sauce and potato terrine.
For Christmas dessert, refresh your palate with the Orange and Basil Sorbet and then indulge in the Ivoire Valrhona Chocolate Crémeux with raspberry sorbet and pistachio.
Eight course New Year's Eve meal
The New Year’s Eve menu offers an eight-course meal that opens with a trio of items – Wagyu Beef Bresaola served with Parmesan brioche bread and tarragon mayonnaise, a Tuna Tartlet “Catalana style”, and Potato and Mushroom Cappuccino. The next course is a colourful Lobster Carpaccio with basil béarnaise and caviar followed by tasty house-made Wagyu Beef Agnolotti with porcini mushrooms, chives and black truffle shavings.
Get ready for more interesting flavours as the meal progresses into the main dishes. First up, savour the subtle flavours of white truffles from Alba paired with Carnaroli Risotto. Guests can then opt to continue with the delicate protein of Cod Fish with macadamia nuts, roasted cauliflower and caviar or switch to the richer flavours of the Wagyu Tenderloin with Marble Score 9. This meaty dish is paired with parsnip, leek gratin and morel mushroom Sauce. Next up is flavourful Truffle Taleggio with toasted brioche bread, followed by two sweet treats to end the year with.
Enjoy saying goodbye to 2020 with Strawberry Sorbet and classic Italian sponge cake with elderflower essence, and a Hazelnut Crémeux and sponge cake with vanilla gelato, truffle essence, truffle slices and gold dust.
Vegetarian options
Those who prefer non-meat options will can enjoy a unique selection of vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian dinner for both Christmas and New Year’s Eve starts with Roasted Parsnip Salad with hazelnuts, pecorino cheese and black truffles, followed by Mushroom Terrine with pumpkin puree.
To further tantalise the taste buds, Marini’s on 57 has a delightful Carnaroli Risotto with beetroot pesto, Gorgonzola cheese and plum. Up next is the flavourful Ricotta Cheese Ravioli with spinach, morel mushrooms and sage butter before serving up dessert.
