Le Noir KL teams up with new music and entertainment brand 1HUNDRED to bring you the best in local and international dance music in the club every Thursday night. With underground house hero HAYZE just launching the night 1 Feb, and with drum’n’bass pioneer GOLDIE and house legend Clive Henry both from UK already lined up to perform the rest of this month, this promises to be your new favourite night out.
This coming 8 February, we have the signature techno /tech based sounds of the long standing Malaysian underground stalwart DJ Kuma.
Kuma is one of the few established DJs from Malaysia who plays across Asia and Europe. With those signature underground techno and techno based sounds, he's earned himself something of a name in the Asian underground house music community, taking the music to dance floors across Asia, including the likes of Embassy (Philippines), Sound Club (Thailand), Womb (Tokyo), and festivals such as the Full Moon party on the beach of Haadrin in Koh Pangan (Thailand), Epizode (Vietnam), regular Jungle Experience (Koh Phangan) appearances to add to appearances in Macao, Berlin, Paris, Corsica, Amsterdam and Ibiza, amongst others.
At home in Malaysia he’s cut a swathe through the underground since the late 1990s, from Genting Highlands to Sunway Lagoon to Jalan P. Ramlee’s Poppy Collection and Rumjungle over much of the noughties, to being co-founder along with Alex Martin of the decade crossing KL underground institution Quinte on Heritage Row during the first half of this decade, to now being resident at Le Noir KL and the Sunday Daydream Pool Party.
Also dabbling into techno productions, his two releases in the last year, Kamagra and the Acid Flux EP have created waves, and there’s more to come in the very near future.
