Adam! the Musical 2018 is a modern love story about beating the odds with music, humour, and love hosted by The Kuala Lumpur Performance Arts Centre in Sentul, KL from 24 August – 1 September 2018.
Follow Adam and Mia, as they navigate their ‘complicated’ relationship amidst meddling relatives, kaypo aunties, and hilarious best friends to finally come to the most important question in the world;
‘Do you, take this man, to be your lawfully, wedded…’. Is happily ever after possible, when you are, ‘different’?
ADAM! The Musical was originally commissioned by the Malaysian AIDS Foundation. It premiered in 2010 and ran for a record-breaking 35 performances.
The 2018 production will be directed by Joe Hasham OAM and premiered as part of the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival 2018 from 18 to 19 August. It now enjoys an extended run from 24 August to 1 September. It features original music written by Teng Ky-Gan and Lim Chuang Yik and an updated story by Mark Beau de Silva.
Principal cast: Malik Taufiq as Adam, Teresa Goh as Mia, Nikki Palikat as Flora, Faridah Merican as Noni, Fairuz Fee Tauhid as Jambu and Zhafir Muzani as Mangga.
