We have all seen the tireless efforts of frontliners working hard with extended shifts, risking their lives in order to protect Malaysians from the Covid-19 Pandemic and since launching the 1FOR1 movement on the 27th of March 2020, the healthy eating chain Agrain the healthy eating chain which has 3 outlets in and around Kuala Lumpur has fed more than 5,000 meal boxes to the frontliners of 15 different hospitals and health centers!
What is 1-FOR-1
In the early days of MCO, many Malaysians have taken the initiative to donate food supplies to hospital staff. While these efforts were deeply appreciated by the hospitals, the uncoordinated and spontaneous efforts meant that the food donated could not be distributed properly based on the needs of the hospitals. Some hospitals received too much food resulting in wastages, while some hospitals did not see any support from the public at all.
Agrain started attending to the hospitals where food shortages for staff were a big problem and making sure to always coordinate with them in advance so that there is less uncertainty on both sides. However, with the extension of the MCO and an increasing number of medical staff, more and more hospitals are reaching out to Agrain for stable supplies of meal boxes for their medical staff during the MCO period.
Understanding that collaborative efforts are more important now than ever before during this period of isolation, Agrain is inviting the public to help donate towards the mission of providing all medical staff with the energy and support that they need. Agrain will match all donations by the public.
For each meal box donated, Agrain will also donate the same number box towards this important mission.
The period for donation will continue until the MCO period is lifted. Donations can be made via their website at www.agrain.my or their facebook and instagram page. Please note that there is a minimum order of 5 food boxes (RM16.9each) + 80 cents delivery fee and subject to SST.
