This week, Substance and Aura start off with their ELECTRONICITY festival on 5 & 6 May at Aura, a simple gathering of house and EDM music lovers. Starting off on Wednesday (today) for the ticket party, followed by the private VIP showcase on Thursday, the Friday repertoire of Djs on 5 May and the Saturday after party on 6 May 2023.
It's an ode to house music and a launch of Malaysia's rising DJs from Substance that are playing and pushing the international standard of house music.
The featured guest headliner for the weekend is the hugely popular UK DJ regularly rocking venues from London to China – Henry Hacking.
Henry, with his versatility within House music, has become a firm favourite not only within the super-clubs, but also the more underground hangouts. His fast growing reputation has seen him headline at a number of the world’s best clubs, including Sky Garden (Bali), Galame (China), Ce La Vi (Singapore), and Ministry of Sound (London), alongside his residency in Ibiza for Pukka Up’s ‘WNDRLND’ at Eden and ‘House In Paradise’ at O-Beach.
Entering into the world of production in 2018, he immediately turned heads and was quickly signed by EDX with a number of releases on Sirup Music, before then remixing one of Australia’s biggest dance acts, The Stafford Brothers, and UK star, Harrison.
In the latter stages of 2022, Henry launched his own label ‘Selects’ with more instant success. BBC Radio 1 support followed, alongside weekly Kiss FM support. Now as we move through 2023, the upward trend of success is clear to see with yet with new single Cool Kids racking up the plays and chart action.
Also featuring over the weekend will be our own Nahsyk and MC Burgerkid, together with Mindz, THE MGCIAN, RDN, Mindz, STEF4N, The Empress and White Crane.
