Christian Theseira's Single "Hard to Leave" Debuts on 23 September 2018
Christian Theseira, who is in local vocal harmony pop sensation band Back2Basixx will be releasing his single “Hard to Leave” designed to be a treat for all the trap/soul lovers out there.
Having shared the stage with local and international legends like Usher, DNCE, Yuna, Awie, M. Nasir, Zainal Abidin, Jacyln Victor and Anggun, “Hard to Leave” showcases the artist sultry vocals laid over a fresh soulful R&B vibe. Christian’s sonic direction is highly influenced by American and Korean trap pop genre and was inspired to write it to express the infatuation phase of a new romance.
The artist has been playing in the local scene for 15 years and he states that music was the only thing that he had been sure of his entire life. “I have always respected local musicians, only because I know how difficult it can be to get your music out to an audience, it takes time, practice, courage, discipline and plenty of perseverance. Most times many musicians tend to give up due to financial constraints and the constant shifts in market trends”, he adds.
To all the Back2Basixx fans, worry not, as Christian is very much still with Back2Basixx and will continue to produce more hits with them. Christian mentioned “Back2Basixx is my family, and we will always want what’s best for each other. They know it’s just a part of me that I’ve been wanting to express for a long time and they are 100% supportive and have even offered to lend a hand wherever they can”.
“I believe with current trends and the availability of platforms, musicians can definitely leverage more and turn their passion into a career, if done right”, he says. When asked about his genre trap/soul, he said “I’ve always been an R&B and neo soul fan, trap/soul just seemed to be the natural evolution of R&B” . “Hard to Leave” was composed and produced by the artist himself and he is currently working on his extended play (EP) that is set to be launched in 2019.
Christian Theseira is scheduled to perform at the Jameson event happening at The Good Guys Arkadia, Desa Park City on Saturday, 29th September 2018 and Island Music Festival on Redang Island (IMF) on the 12th October 2018. He is also due to be having a secret music video pre-viewing party at an underground undisclosed Jazz Club the day before his single release (22nd September 2019).
