The origins of London based DJ and producer Tristan Hallis lie in Australia, where he was raised and cultured amongst some of the most interesting musical phenomena of the 21st century, laying deep with roots in Lo-fi and house.
DJ Boring set for a Straya Day Eve special this Friday 25 January sent ripples through the underground house music community with the release of his single ‘Winona‘. A vinyl aficionado and notoriously friendly dude, DJ Boring’s signature stripped-down sound has become somewhat of a blueprint for an emerging sub-genre of house- a raw distorted music that stands as a stark contrast to musical elements of the commercial club scene.
