China hip hop icon MASIWEI to perform in Kuala Lumpur on 1 June

China's hip hop icon MASIWEI is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur on 1 June 2023 at ZEPP KL as part of his Asia & Australia Tour performing across 3 cities in Asia beginning with Kuala Lumpur, followed by Bangkok and Hong Kong.

MASIWEI emerged onto the global scene as a member of popular boy-band Higher Brothers under the 88Rising banner. The group has been widely credited as being the catalyst for the fast-growing Chinese hip- hop genre. They gained popularity for their unique blend of trap music and Chinese culture. As the leader of “Higher Brothers”, MASIWEI writes and produces several songs, and also participated in the music arrangement of the group’s songs, as well as music videos.

Since pursuing a solo career, MASIWEI has gone from strength to strength, becoming the first Chinese rapper to create a theme song for an American drama with a European and American rapper. In 2020, he released his hit solo album, “Prince Dark Horse”, and won the best rap album at CMA2021. Albums “Dark Horse” and “Humble Swag” quickly followed. MASIWEI has taken the globe by storm, using his work to show the world the real Made in China hip-hop music. Besides his world tour, MASIWEI has also revealed that he will be releasing his latest ep, “Champion Love Songs” in April.
