Crackhouse Comedy Club Celebrates 6th Anniversary with 2 Special Online Shows

Malaysia's First & Longest Running Comedy Club, Crackhouse are celebrating six years with two of their most favourite and power-house Headliners who will be Live-Streaming their set from their homes in the UK and Canada. What makes it extra special is that NO Comedian agrees to perform stand-up comedy at 9 in the morning. Well, until this weekend that is.

DALISO CHAPONDA (Malawi/UK) & Mad Sabah (MY). Hosted by Rizal van Geyzel.

Malawi-born Daliso began his comedy career in Canada at the turn of the millennium with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. Following this, he began honing his craft in comedy clubs across the country. Fast forward to 2017, he received the Golden Buzzer from judge Amanda Holden during live auditions on Britain's Got Talent, going on to finish third in the Final.

 

 

He regularly appears in comedy clubs and theatres across the around the world. He has been part of the Melbourne, Edinburgh, Singapore, Cape Town, and Montreal Festivals. In addition to stand up comedy, Daliso is also a prolific fiction writer. He has published science fiction, murder mysteries and fantasy fiction in numerous magazines and anthologies. Recently, a play he co-wrote aired on BBC Radio 4, where he has also hosted a comedy programme. Daliso is also an excellent club and corporate MC.

LARS CALLIIEOU (Canada) & Deepak Chandran (SG). Hosted by Rizal van Geyzel

Lars Callieou has appeared at the Just for Laughs Festival and has a One-Hour Comedy Special currently airing on The Comedy Network. He was just the third Canadian in history to make the Finals of both the San Francisco and Seattle International Comedy Competitions and this past spring he Won ‘Best of the Fest’ at the San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival.

 

 

Lars has also been overseas to entertain the troops three times (Kuwait, IRAQ, Kyrgyzstan, Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and has a weekly comedy radio show on CJSR 88.5 FM that was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award. Lars has toured with the likes of Miss Joan Rivers, Jeff Foxworthy, Bob Saget and Martin Short. He made his first appearance this April at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia and if you’re a fan of CBC he’s on the Debaters and CBC TV. He’s also appeared at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, the Boston Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and the Halifax Comedy Festival in… well… Halifax. It’s safe to say he’s become an overnight success in just 12 years.
