Bangkok based Big Calo of famed Asian hip hop collective Thaitanium and DJay Buddah of Thaitanium and Bangkok Invaders kingpin will be at Dragonfly KL on 7 November for urban night DRIP.
Big Calo is of Puerto Rican/ German decent and has been living in Bangkok, Thailand for over 10 years. Born in Pennsylvania, raised in Tampa, and honed in Queens his roots run back to the motherland of hip hop, but living as a expat in a foreign country has widened his perspective of the world. His style on the mic represents his musical background, diverse upbringing, and unique environment.
In the past 10 years Big Calo has not only been discovering his unique sound, but also is a member of famed Asian hip hop collective Thaitanium. As a member of Thaitanium Calo has collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg, M.O.P., Blahzay Blah, and more. Recently, Thaitanium just released their first self-titled album in Japan which includes the song Wake Up Bangkok City featuring Snoop Dogg and No Stoppin Us featuring M.O.P.. Also, Calo was featured on the “Air Asia Mixtape” hosted by DJ Whoo Kid and the Bangkok Invaders with his single Think About That featuring NJ Henessy. With new projects currently in the works be sure to stay locked on Big Calo.
