The sensational Epizode Festival embarks on a world tour. The upcoming festival will be bringing the infectious vibes and high quality sound of Epizode³ to the world's hottest clubs, with a massive 15 warmup parties in Asia and Australia. Global DJ superstars, as well as festival residents and regional heroes will be shaking the dancefloors to warm you up for the mind-blowing Epizode³.
REN Lounge at Kyo KL gets to host one of those 15 warmups on 14 December 2018 and will feature Heidi (UK) and Denis Kaznacheev (RUS)
Heidi has worked hard over the past decade to make her mark on the new house and techno music generation. You only have to visit her worldwide brand of Jackathon parties or listen to her BBC Radio 1 show to experience her passion for music and fiery nature.
Her Jackathon parties were inspired by her youthful endeavours into house and techno music. Heidi heard its calls across the water growing up in Windsor, Ontario Canada, just across the border from Detroit. Relocating to London in 2000, she picked up her craft and deep expertise behind the counter first at Koobla Records, and in 2003 Heidi was part of the team that opened up London’s foremost record shop, Phonica.
Heidi spends her life immersed in music. She lives and breathes the touring lifestyle, whether its 25,000 person crowds in Latin America or festivals such as Exit ,Global Gathering, Detroit's Movement fest and the infamous cave of fabric in London or Japan’s Womb or holding her own at Jackathon residency strongholds in Ibiza, London, Berlin’s Watergate and Manchester she fits within any destination around the world. Never afraid to fight for what she wants, for Heidi it’s not about right place, right time. She has won through sheer determination and sharing the magic with those she loves at every step.
Russian producer Denis Kaznacheev has received a healthy level of acclaim and attention as one-half of Easy Changes, the loosely termed ‘minimal techno’ duo who have amassed a sizable following since 2007 through releases on their own Nervmusic imprint and other well-respected labels such as Grow Vinyl, FoundSound, Sleep Is Commercial and Arma. The time has now come for to Denis to embark on a side project of music created solely by his own 2 hands. And a few machines. His pensive sounds weaves subtle grooves in amongst discordant synth blasts, electronic bleeps and whirrs, tripped-out FX and tinges of organic instrumentation to create a truly fascinating juxtaposition. The first output of his new endeavour had seen the light of day, naturally, through Nervmusic - with a remix from Romanian hero Rhadoo - before a collaboration with labelmate, Laurine Frost as Syud yields an EP, also with a label mates Alka Rex and plenty more to follow.
From REN itself, Axel Groove and Kubika will be on for the 14 December 2018 night.
The Epizode Festival itself will be held over a marathon 12 days over in Vietnam on the island of Phu Quoc starting 28 December 2018 featuring a monster line up of international and regional DJs/producers.
