Big Shaq, also known as British comedian Michael Dapaah, is set for an appearance at Kyo KL for FAC3 with DJs Biggie, AKu Ash and Afaro this Saturday 3 November and has gone stratospheric following his appearance on BBC 1xtra’s Charlie Sloth: Fire in the Booth, smashing the UK Official Charts with his debut single 'Mans Not Hot’.
Big Shaq currently stands to hold the lowest skip rate on an urban record Spotify has ever seen. The official music video for the track went viral on a global scale and reached the number one trending video on Youtube in a matter of days.
His comedic rap "Man's Not Hot" (whose backing track was sampled from 67 and Giggs' 2016 track "Let's Lurk") developed into a viral meme, and a studio track version of the song was released on 22 September 2017. The song's music video was released by Dapaah himself on 26 October of the same year; which features cameos from Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Yachty, Dutch rap-group Broederliefde and DJ Khaled, who calls Dapaah's character a "legend".
Since becoming an international online sensation overnight, his recent trip to America was overwhelming with radio shows and interviews in NYC and a warm welcome at the BET Awards 2017.
