Starting this weekend of 6-7, April, 2018 and then every Friday, Tales of the Terrace will bring the best local and KL based DJs to the roof with their ultimate late night mix and take you on a journey of after-hours grooving while Saturday's Sing It Black will champion the vocal house style for an uplifting night out.
For this weekend:
April 6 2018 - Tales of the Terrace with founding Le Noir KL resident Circuitbreaker together with Eugene.
Circuitbreaker started his passion for music in the late 80s with a love of early electro, then moving through genres such as acid house, techno, breakbeat and deep house. With a music collection that literally spans decades, his sets truly demonstrate the often clichéd ‘journey’, playing the latest rockin’ tunes, hypnotising bass lines, undiscovered gems and some pure grin inducing hands in the air classics.
As one of Malaysia’s pioneers of the electronic dance music scene, Eugene was one of those instrumental in making KL something of a clubbing capital with the constant organising of numerous pioneering warehouse and outdoor parties, including the creation and conceptualization of the legendary Movement KL and Carbon Club at the beginning of this millennium.
As a DJ, his mixing style is smooth and seamless, often riding the line between funky electro and tech-house and quality deep house, and, back in the day, drum’n’bass as well. Fast forward to today, Eugene is now a fashion designer/DJ who is coming back with a new sound that focuses on deep melodic house or dirty tech-house to techno depending on the venue.
April 7 2018 - Sing it Black with DJ Mie and Victor Trixter
DJ Mie has a sophisticated appeal and charisma in putting together the best music and selection in his sets. As early as his first residency in 1993, he has always put a mark of influences on people who come to listen to his musical styles, making him one of the most sought after DJs in the industry. His versatility and efficiency in changing styles makes him a proud owner of his success as a disc jockey, whether he is easing them into a soulful vibe with the chill-out sounds of R&B or lifting them up with pumping house, he knows how to rock a party.
Victor Trixter is enough of an artist to draw freely on his imagination. Music is very much a part of his life and is a passionate journey involving the many milestones of his existence. This richness is combined, spiced up and translated into hi energy yet delightful vibes to provide excitement and complement the ambience fitting of hip clubs in the region.
