TIME Manila's resident DJ Alinep will be a mind blowing experience when he hits JIRO KL on September 7. Fresh from his debut gigs in major clubbing cities in Europe, Alinep is back on track as Time in Manila resident DJ, music producer, radio host and label manager of Asia Music.
With a truly talented musical background Alinep living, breathing, playing and producing music for many years. Having started off towards the path of becoming a DJ, playing at small bars and lounges before earning club residencies, gave him the knowledge and ability to push his passion for his music work and his unique style of music blend to earn him recognition in the underground music community globally.
Alinep's musical imprint in his DJ sets and music production are very poetic and is rooted from deep house to techno, minimal to tech house, Detroit to Chicago; the beat goes on and on defining his own club space. Having shared the decks alongside Darren Emerson, Nick Warren, Yousef, SLAM, Dave Seaman, Anil Chawla, Luke Fair, Jimmy Van M, Josh Wink, Umek, Joy Kitikonti, Timo Garcia, Nelski, Frank Mueller, Quivver, Xhin, Secret Cinema, Silicone Soul, Nadja Lind, DJ Bone, Ramon Tapia, James Zabiela, Guti Dirt Crew, KiNK, Satoshi Fumi, Alex Flatner, Tigerskin, Martin Eyerer, Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Osunlade, Re.You, Kate Simko, Eric Volta, Ken Ishii, Evil Eddie Richards, Gabriel I, Djuma Soundsystem and many more.
Aside from gigging in his hometown, he plays around Asia - the World DJ Festival in South Korea and featured parties in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China.
He’s A&R Manager of Asia Music, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Manila, Philippines, one of the top underground labels to come out of South East Asia, supporting regional and international artists. It has given him a platform to host Asia Music radio shows on Sceen FM based in Berlin, Germany, as well as his own Manila Underground, featuring a collective of local DJs/producers/promoters and foreign-locals who love and live for non-commercial electronic music, that’s hosted on UB Radio in Bangkok.
His most renowned track, "Deepsomnia" was originally released on Funkfield Recordings then re-released by KL-based Love International. Following that he has releases on MakTub Music entitled ‘Meet the Sponks’, ‘Carriedo’ under Tenampa Recordings, and his EP ‘Bagalso’ on Berlin label, Tanztone Records along with ‘Whoov’ EP on Circle Music, Ger- many and so on.
Alinep is also the Assistant Label Manager of Love Da Records Philippines - a branch of Love Da Records Hongkong. One of the oldest record labels in Asia which handles artists from Kobalt, PIAS, Beggars Group, XL Recordings, MUTE Records, Matador and many more.
