Jungle City Beats once again sees stellar regional DJs across various genres on the decks flying in to KL to perform.
Singapore’s iconic legend, ALDRIN returns to KL and will be taking over the spotlight at WET Deck, W Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 23 July 2022, where cutting-edge mixology meets bold designs and a playful attitude.
Getting to know ALDRIN: Nominated as “Best New Comer” for the Ibiza DJ Awards while UK's Dance Magazine Muzik referred him as Asia’s Number One DJ, and voted “Best Local DJ” in both Juice & I-S Magazines in Singapore.
Aldrin has been a key figure in building up Singapore's vibrant dance scene since the mid 1990s. As the musical ambassador to the legendary Zouk Club in Singapore from 1996 to 2013, Aldrin was packing the club with faithful fans with his signature ONE nights, while flying the club's flag with guest spots all over the globe, including clubbing capitals like Ibiza, London, Berlin, New York and Tokyo. Aldrin was also the club's Artist Booking Manager, curating a monthly schedule of diverse international acts that saw everyone from Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren to DJ Shadow and Jazzy Jeff, sealing Zouk's and Singapore's reputation as a global clubbing destination.
In 2018, Aldrin took on a Music Director role to help to start up 1880, a brand new private members club aimed at the curious & the explorers. From Trip Hop, Down Tempo and Chill Out Electronica, Funk, Soul, R&B and Jazz; to the trendier sounds of Nu Disco, Indie Dance, Electro Pop; to even Opera; Aldrin's specially curated playlists for the multiple zones set a level of edgy sophistication for the social club. That, and also a carefully crafted music programme which included DJ nights, themed parties, live jazz evenings and music related talks, have helped broaden Aldrin's repertoire.
