Having left the UK in 2001 to open Ministry of Sound in Bangkok, Taipei and Singapore, Damian Saint has been at the forefront of the Asian house music scene for 17 years now. Set for an appearance at the W Kuala Lumpur's Wet Deck this coming Thursday 25 April, he currently presides over the music direction at the W Hotel in Bali as Music & Sound Suite Curator, and spends most of his days on the decks and in the studio alongside some of the world’s most exciting house and techno acts, leaving periodically to bring his sound to turntables around the region.
On the decks his (at times) blistering displays of technical ability, and unapologetically eclectic track selection make for some electric moments, and despite nearly 20 years of playing records, there is a palpable excitement to every set he plays.
Track selector, Music Director, and bullshit detector, his strait talking attitude, softened only by his passion for the music, has earned him the respect of industry heavy hitters at both the global and local level, and he is set to remain one of the key components of the house and techno scene in Asia into perpetuity.
Supported on the night by Victor G, Lish and Choobs.
