Crackhouse presents Azeem Banatwalla

Azeem Banatwalla is one of India's top stand-up comics, and is one of the most popular names in the Indian circuit. His TV credits include Comedy Central, NDTV, and ABC's 'Comedy Up Late'. Known for observational, provocative and intelligent humour, Azeem is, alongside Vir Das & Sorabh Pant, the only Indian comedian with two stand-up specials - Out of My System (2017) and Problems (2019) on Amazon Prime Video. Azeem has performed all over the world - most recently at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2018 where he also scored international TV credits with ABC's Comedy Up Late. Azeem is part of the comedy collective East India Comedy, with his work as a stand-up and sketch writer garnering over 100 million views on YouTube.

Jono Zalay at TJF

Jono Zalay began his standup career in Boston, US, while simultaneously earning his Doctorate in Neuroscience (he gave cocaine to rats). Since dropping his science hobby to pursue comedy full time, Jono has been named one of Comedy Central’s ‘**Comics to Watch*. Jono now lives in Los Angeles where he has written comedy for Fox, AMAZOM, and Comedy Central. He has been featured in over 30 comedy festivals around the world including Bridgetown, Big Sky, Sketchfest, and New York Comedy Festival.

Conductor Laureate Kees Bakels condcuts the MPO on an evening of music by Mozart. The concerts will feature clarinettist Alessandro Carbonare performing Mozart’s sublime clarinet concerto. Kees Bakels will also conduct the Haffner and Prague symphonies.
