VOOP Kuala Lumpur’s local techno party brand is proud to announce its debut event at Sessions this Saturday 13 May 2023, bringing a new monthly all night long techno party to the city. VOOP Host and founder, DJ Kuma, the rising star of the new wave of techno DJs emerging from Asia, will play an all nighter open to close set, starting at 10pm.
Kuma's signature sound is characterized by driving peak time techno with an abundance of energy and grooves. With appearances at major festivals such as ADE, Amsterdam and having played at some of Berlin's most iconic clubs, including Sisyphos, Kuma has firmly cemented his status as one of the most exciting techno DJs to emerge from Asia in recent years. His passion for techno extends beyond the dance floor, as he also hosts his own techno radio show called Revolution Black on Frisky Radio. Running for its sixth year, the show is a testament to KUMA's dedication to the genre and his desire to share his love of techno with the world.
With a steadily growing discography, he has released original music on top European techno labels such as Renesanz and Prospect Records.
