May has been a month of celebration for Art Xtreme Media as they celebrate their 9th anniversary this month as well as Sweatbox Records 6th anniversary. During these 9 years they have animated the dance floors around Malaysia, not only with some amazing music acts of all kinds and genres of underground electronic music within hundreds of parties, but also burnt millions of calories grooving to the beat of seminal KL-scene underground parties like The Sweatbox, Taboo, Off The Record, Outside the Box, Girls Got Groove, How Deep?, Oh, By The Way, Secret DJ Series, Questionmark - party concepts that kept them going for nearly a decade.
As for Sweatbox Records, there have been some amazing music released by local, regional and international music producers who have made them proud to leave a quality legacy behind and to move forward with more passion than ever. Reno Renatama's “Morning After” EP is marking Sweatbox Record's 33rd label release and was just released out on the major digital platforms last wee. They get to celebrate these milestones all month long and all the way through to June with a series of parties around the Klang Valley, with various local acts booked up.
Local DJs are the backbone of all our parties and we get to honour their skill and talent through the various parties they will be hosting, so a shout out to the Sweatbox residents Otherkind, Obadius, Rimka, Meliha as well as Also Ken for skilfully managing the A&R of Sweatbox Records.
