January continues with a selection of what's going on with Live Music, arts, theatre, and comedy across the Klang Valley this week ahead. Live music at Crane KL to accompany your eats and drinks and cocktails in the heart of Chinatown KL. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Crane KL welcomes everyone to their scenic restaurant and Upstairs bar where you can expect excellent service, tasty food, fine wine, draught beers and deliciously interesting craft cocktails in warm and comfortable surroundings.

On the Live front this week, Crane KL restaurant downstairs brings you some of our hometown greats in our live and jazz music scene from 8pm onwards. The inimitable Russell Curtis performs on Friday. On Saturday Lakshmi and Yew Han are set to perform. To end the week, there's Sunday Chill and Jive from Sunday noon with Mary Jackson and Eddy Zachariah on vocals and piano.

All-day dining begins at noon (Sunday 10am) and closes at midnight with the last order at 11.30pm. A breakfast menu will be offered on Sundays. This Chinese New Year Weekend will be the peak of The Back Ground KL's entertainment programming this week. We've got Sound of Kites, Heidi Moru and Hyke Nasir for live music on Saturday bringing that indie vibe, as well as Pokets coming to spin for them on Sunday for an afternoon of smooth disco, funk and soul. The grassroots live music bar continues with music and performances and highly original music from homegrown artistes. For this month of this New Year they are celebrating 10 years of grassroots music.

Thursday: Urban folk jazz with Kirsten Long and folk rock with Ally Liew. Acoustic open mics Ian Tai and Euodia.
