A collaboration between directors Ian Chow and Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican as well as co-director Joe Hasham OAM, this tribute pays homage to legendary Malaysian artistes from the 60s to the 90s that have become household names such as Sudirman, Saloma, P. Ramlee, Ramli Sarip, M. Nasir, Sheila Majid, Alleycats, Search, Wings, and many more. Seagrasses are vital to both marine life and coastal communities, yet their rapid decline is often overlooked. These concerts, a continuation of gamelan specialists Rhythm in Bronze’s commitment to connecting environmental issues with the arts, features original gamelan compositions interwoven with compelling stories of seagrass and the communities that depend on them. Be inspired by the power of music and storytelling, and take action to preserve our precious natural heritage.

Live at Jao Tim presents Saint Kylo Does Originals this Friday 25 August 2023. Festival funk and soul for the one and only Saint Kylo as he moves from his covers appearance at Jao Tim two weeks ago, to his support slot for MacAyers at The Bee last weekend, back to Jao Tim this Friday for a night of originals. The multifaceted musician has seen his musical spectrum and portfolio grow within Malaysia over the last few years. Known for putting on high octane and energetic live shows, he plans on bringing his sultry voice and infectious on-stage energy. And now, with another solo single release Paid For out on the waves, this should be an interesting night indeed.
