Simply Jazz by Tin Box
Former arts and culture journalist and advocate of Malaysia's traditional performing arts, Eddin Khoo is making his way to Simpy Jazz by Tin Box this 29 June 2023. An emotive jazz and cabaret singer, Eddin is classically trained and has received vocal training from one of Asia’s greatest sopranos Florence Pong. Eddin is currently preparing to record Bintang Malam, an exploration of Malay jazz and cabaret songs. Join Eddin Khoo and Simply Jazz resident musicians Tasneem Bolhassan on bass, and Cliff Wong on drums, led by the celebrated Michael Veerapen, as they bring you a night of evocative jazz and cabaret music.
A familiar face to Simply Jazz by Tin Box, Jessica Teh from Pop n Bob will be performing this 30 June and 1 July 2023. Classically trained performer and vocal instructor Jessica is known for captivating the crowd with her own blend of pop, jazz, and musical theatre elements while pursuing vocal excellence in the Malaysian music scene. Whether it is an intimate trio for a jazz show or an explosive live band churning out party songs, Jessica is always ready to deliver her extensive repertoire effortlessly and passionately. On this upcoming weekend, she will be accompanied by Simply Jazz resident musicians, featuring the inimitable Michael Veerapen on the piano, YHFoo on bass and Cliff Wong on drums.
As we welcome the new month of July, make your way to catch Jessica as she displays the offbeat side of jazz.
