Crane KL Live

Live music at Crane KL to accompany your eats and drinks and cocktails in the heart of Chinatown KL. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Crane KL welcomes everyone to their scenic restaurant and Upstairs bar where you can expect excellent service, tasty food, fine wine, draught beers and deliciously interesting craft cocktails in warm and comfortable surroundings.

On the Live front this week, Crane KL restaurant downstairs brings you some of our hometown greats in our live and jazz music scene from 8pm onwards. The inimitable Russell Curtis performs on Friday. On Saturday Gerard Singh and Jamie Wilson come together for a special evening. To end the week, there's Sunday Chill and Jive from Sunday noon with Mary Jackson and Eddy Zachariah on vocals and piano.

All-day dining begins at noon (Sunday 10am) and closes at midnight with the last order at 11.30pm. A breakfast menu will be offered on Sundays. Live at Pisco KL

Pisco KL Thursday Night Live this 5 January 2022 sees Saint Kylo make a return to Pisco Live to kick off the New Year's Live at Pisco KL. 8pm onwards. The multifaceted musician, Kyren Thomas, who now goes by Saint Kylo, has seen his musical spectrum and portfolio grow within Malaysia over the last few years. He plans on bringing his sultry voice and infectious on-stage energy. In all likelihood, he could be joined by Ross Faren and Soloman on guitars and percussion.

The Iron Fairies KL Live

There's live music at The Iron Fairies KL from Wednesdays to Saturdays from the Fairy Dust Factory Stage from 8pm. This week: Wednesday with New Dawn. The grassroots live music bar continues with music and performances and highly original music from homegrown artistes. For the first week of this New Year, they are celebrating 10 years of grassroots music.

The Joke Factory

New Year's Comedy Resolutions. The party hasn't ended yet. On 5 January 2023, why not head to The Joke Factory (TJF) to celebrate the New Year with some new jokes with Piravina, Zul, King, Asyraf and Asu.

Comedy is about perspective and experiences, and this show on 6-7 January 2022 at TJF has at least six of them. Generation Gap is back at The Joke Factory which is all about finding out what each age group thinks is hilarious, and what they don’t understand about those who were not born in the same decade as they were. “They” are Sim, Andre, Rina, Mikhail, Marissa and Riezman.

On Tuesdays 8.15pm, head over to TJF for Open Mic. If you’ve ever wanted to try stand-up comedy, this is the platform for you. Come and watch first-timers, regular open micers and established comedians try out their newest stuff all for your enjoyment. Every famous and hilarious comedian you have ever watched started out the same way, so witness the birth of great bits and even greater performers.
