Elephant Dreams Asia Tour with Dirgahayu at PJPAC
Nero Event Space: 5 February 2023. Elephant Dreams Asia Tour in Malaysia with Dirgahayu. Following the release of their latest album Dreams, Taiwan's Elephant Gym has announced that they will return to Malaysia for a one-night only concert with a math rock sensibility, now fused with elements from classical music and jazz for the new musical journey. For the upcoming Malaysia show, the band will bring along their latest collection of new music along with their previous fan favourites.
Also on the bill are local instrumental outfit Dirgahayu. Since its inception in 2013, Dirgahayu continues to craft its sound on the technical count, in-depth musical composition propelled by dense guitar riffs and extensive effects as their sonic signature.
Dirgahayu has gone through several line-up changes over the years, leaving only Afifi and Azry as the constant members. After a long spell of hiatus, the band emerged with a new single release ILHAK in July 2020 with darker and heavier soundscapes. With the addition of Tiong on drums, the band is looking to explore a more intense genre-bending progression under the new line-up.
