Indicine: The Actors Studio Foundation wraps up its maiden season with an intriguing triple bill, “Trilogi Bulan”, which will be staged from 12 to 15 September 2024 in indicine, klpac, directed by the foundation's associate artistic director Christopher Ling. Some may have seen the first play, ‘Orang Bulan’, which premiered to full houses in 2021. Bolstered by its success, prolific playwright Yusof Bakar continued to build on the same characters and universe to complete this trilogy. Three years later, audiences can experience ‘Orang Bulan’ and two new plays ‘Penakluk Bulan’ and ‘Pemusnah Bulan’ in one sitting, which also marks Yusof’s full-length debut at klpac.
Sci-fi plays are a bit of a rarity in Malaysia, let alone one in Bahasa Malaysia. Tasked to bring this ambitious trilogy to life is a brand-new cast comprising Nik Waheeda, Hazzy Alzeeq, Sunio Rushairi and Aidil Rosli, who was in Ling’s earlier two productions ‘Saccharine’ and ‘Perhiasan Kaca'. Regular tickets are priced RM50 with a concession price for students, seniors above 60 anddisabled persons at RM40. Student groups can get 1 free ticket with every 10 tickets purchased.
