Pentas 1: 3 – 4 August 2024. An Uncommon Journey III. Witness some of Malaysia’s brightest young wind, brass and percussion musicians perform with the Outreach Band and saxophone soloist Mohd Shahrizal Kamal (winner of the Malaysian Wind Music Prize 2023) under the baton of music director Cheryl Mah and guest conductor, Damrih Banawitayakit, from the Silpakorn University Thailand. An outreach collaborative project initiated by The klpac Symphonic Band and made possible by a community of music educators and professional musicians, An Uncommon Journey III welcomes 61 musicians aged 16 to 22 from Klang Valley, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Malacca. The highlight of the concert will be Ong Jiin Joo’s new composition Nada Ragam Melayu II, a set piece for the Malaysia International Wind Festival 2024, a series of pieces from Thailand as well Martin Ellerby’s New World Dances, Adam Gorb's Bridgewater Breeze and Yukiko Nishimura's Ancient Flower.

Nero Event Space: 31 July – 4 August 2024: Sutra Foundation presents Malam Bulan di Pagar Bintang, a triple-bill contemporary modern dance production, the first for Sutra Foundation for some years. Over the last four decades, besides its association with Indian classical dance, Sutra had pioneered and forayed in many notable contemporary works that define ‘modernity’ from Asian perspectives. Malam Bulan di Pagar Bintang continues to explore Malaysian contemporary modern dance genre as an important aspect in the rich tapestry of Malaysian dance. The three dances premiered in Malam Bulan di Pagar Bintang are conceived and choreographed by Datuk Ramli Ibrahim and will feature artistes of Sutra Foundation.

Starting the month with Live & Direct: Blanco XL this Saturday 3 August 2024. Basically 4 emcees with another 4 live musicians but we promise there is nothing basic about this show. Pure lyricism and musical artistry with no effects to hide behind. There's Blanco with emcees Glazed Baguette, MVL, PH1, and Yang Ariff. And then, there’s Blanco XL featuring Ali Aiman on keys, Jeremy Kong on guitar, Patrick Lazaroo on bass, and Kae Vin kn drums.
