One of Malaysia’s favourite desserts gets a boozy twist at Marini’s on 57 as the iconic rooftop bar on Kuala Lumpur celebrates the country’s national day this month.
“MY Cendol” pairs the key ingredients of the cendol dessert with whisky, liqueur and aromatic bitters to offer familiar flavours with an alcoholic touch. This uniquely Malaysian cocktail contains Glenlivet 12 Years sous vide pandan, Chartreuse Green, Angosturo Bitters, heavy cream, syrup, cincau, red bean, cendol and corn.
The “MY Cendol” cocktail is priced at RM48++ and will be available until 17 September 2019.
Marini’s on 57 located at Level 57 will also be throwing a Merdeka Day party on 30 August 2019. The “Marini’s on 57 presents Patrónic Independence Day Party” will include the launch of the new and refreshing Patrónic drink – a mixture of Patrón Tequila and Fever-Tree Citrus Tonic Water – in Malaysia.
The “Marini’s on 57 presents Patrónic Independence Day Party” starts at 9.00pm and will feature DJ Mastermind and DJ Cza. The cover charge is RM88.
Over at Marimbar in Petaling Jaya, the Merdeka Day cocktail is based on a savoury Malaysian favourite – asam laksa. The “Asamarimbar Laksa“ cocktail is made with Martell Noblige cognac infused with asam jawa, Pernod aniseed liqueur, asam laksa syrup, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice and lime juice.
The “Asamarimbar Laksa“ cocktail is priced at RM53++ and will be available until end September 2019.
Marimbar, which opened in May this year, will also be throwing its first Merdeka party on 30 August 2019. The “Marimbar presents Rooftop Independence Day Party” starts at 9.00pm and will feature Prem and Double D. The dress code for the event is “Colours of MY”.
