Singer, songwriter, guitarist extraodrinaire Muzza is set to release his latest album with the launch of Six String Rifle scheduled this Saturday at The Bee, KL.
Muzza's amazing proficiency and dexterity on the guitar, coupled with talent as a versatile vocalist with a performance that allows him to easily engage with his audiences and encourage crowd participation, has resulted in nmany of his performances turning into “mini-concerts” with the crowd singing along, dancing and even “head-banging” along to his music.
He is also a gifted songwriter, with many of his own compositions becoming sing- along staples at his shows, such as the “right in the feels” track Kitakan Bersama.
Young, Talented and charismatic, Muzza has grown into an idol even among fellow musicians in the local pub circuit, with his fans being a truly “muhibbah (harmony) bunch, consisting of people from all ages and races.
The KL based Muzza started performing in the local pub circuit at the age of 19 together with his father and biggest musical influence, Lolen aka Din, former guitarist of well known 80s Malaysian band Heavy Machine.
At the age of 23, Muzza launched his first Album/EP titled Find My Way Back Home in June 2014. Whilst he is known as a predominantly hard rock-based musician, he chose to take a different route for the album, wanting to showcase his versatility as a guitarist and songwriter. Through the six songs on the EP, listeners are taken on a journey from blues and slow rock all the way to progressive rock and even jazz. Muzza composed all the songs on his own and his versatility and musical talent is highlighted on the track The Pinks Have Flown, where he plays all the instruments, including the drums and keyboards.
With his band at the time - Muzza's Mayhem – he was the champion of the Global Battle of the Bands (Malaysia), and represented Malaysia at the global Battle of the Bands finals in Oslo, Norway in April 2015. On the 29th of October 2016, Muzza's Mayhem shared the stage with German legendary rockers The Scorpions as well as Malaysian rock stalwarts Wings, among others as the opening act of the Rockaway festival held in Sepang F1 circuit.
