Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates the strong bonds of family and loved ones through familial gatherings and the gifting of mooncakes. In celebration of this cultural tradition, New World Petaling Jaya Hotel presents the art of mooncake crafting, with its highly anticipated selection of mooncakes.
This year, the hotel is debuting an ensemble of flavours, both classic and reinterpretations of mooncakes. Carefully crafted to pay homage to the traditions and modern-day gastronomical trends, our classic box comes with our bestselling flavour – Longan Wolfberries – a harmonisation of longan flavoured lotus paste with fragrant wolfberries, and a healthy option – Pomegranate Lotus, where the marriage of this nutritious fruit with the familiar childhood lotus flavour blossoms. Each set will include a piece of Longan Wolfberries, Pomegranate Lotus, Red Bean and White Lotus. While this combination is timeless, you can also switch it up with our Lotus with Single Yolk and Mixed Nuts in the Treasure Set.
New World Petaling Jaya’s mooncakes are presented in an exquisite handbag-like box with drawers bearing elegant gold motifs. The multifunctional design, which opens up to reveal a box of delights, also doubles up as a chic hand-carry – perfect for gifting to loved ones. Available in deep ruby red and prestigious black. The colours echo the hues of traditional Mooncake boxes with a modern twist. Each mooncake set is packaged with love, making it an ideal gift for an evening of festivity with closed ones.
‘Timeless Traditions’ is available from 7 July to 21 September and the prices start from RM148 nett per gift box of four pieces. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and inclusive of prevailing government tax where applicable.
