It has been a solid year for KL-based collective and music label Ohrwurm so far, as we approach the halfway point of 2024. The next outing for them promises more of the same underground goodness. Signed to Nina Kraviz label, with her Boiler Room set one of the hottest videos to watch, Ohrwurm welcomes u.r.trax (трип, FRA) at Pisco KL this 7 June 2024.
u.r.trax is a Producer, DJ and vocalist from Paris, France. She delivers eclectic DJ performances defending a diverse sonic selection. From trippy techno to rough and cold electro, “backroom” dark trance and deconstructed rhythms; u.r.trax advocates an “immersive music for the mind”.
Her first language was music. Drummer since her very tender childhood, she started producing in her early teenage years and focused her self a few years later on club music. In 2020, she released her first “Folge Mir” record on Hector Oaks’ KAOS. In 2021, she released her debut EP “Moral Krisis” on the sub-label she was given : “KAOS-URTRAX”. In 2022, she released Third Ear on Nina Kraviz’ trip. She had the likes of the main pioneers of the scene such as Richie Hawtin, Ellen Alien and Tiga to cite a few.
Since 2023, she has composed the music for the Parisian fashion label Coperni, unveiling wider musical skills. In 2024, she launched her own imprint, ultra rare and is now preparing an album.
Supported by Ohrwurm honcho Alam and Odd on a back to back session, with LZZY and Djane also performing for the night.
