Ohrwurm Series returns with #14 at REN Lounge (Kyo KL) on 7 September. This is a special number as they welcome CusCus label owner Mark Jackus (Berlin) headline the night.
Mark started his DJ career as a 15 year old teenage resident for afterhours, in the mid 90s under his old ego Dj aMaZe. His sound is a journey through different electronic music styles.
His own events and club nights where significant with high class bookings such by Jeff Mills, DJ Pierre, M.A.N.D.Y, Ida Engberg, President Bongo (GusGus) or Tyree Cooper.
Works and collaborations with Timo Maas, Nakadia, George Morel, Sergio Fernandez and releases on Insert Coin, Stylerockets, Spark Musik and Dapayk´s Rrygular have been the results. In 2014, he signed on Noir Music.
His music gets international chartings and support from Shlomi Aber, Mark Night, Animal Trainer, Richie Hawtin, Satoshi Tomiie, Erick Morillo, Mark Night, Steve Lawler and Superflu.
In 2006 he made a new move by creating a project called "CusCus", an event project that brings attention to Protection of Wildlife by raising money for Papua New Guinea and collaborating with the organizations such as WWF and Green Music Initiative, receiving an award for sustainable innovations from UNESCO in 2009.
Since 2011, CusCus has been an integral part of Juicy Beats Festival in Dortmund since 2011, bringing quality electronic music to its own techno floor for 16 hours. Since 2013 he’s been living in Berlin where he continues his career with regular shows at his favourite clubs such as Renate, Chalet, Suicide Club, Heinz Gaul, Goethebunker, Favela, Studio Club and Silq.
Also featuring are 2 Ohrwurm debuts; they welcome back Fadzil Huzaire aka Odd for his first show back from Europe, and they are also excited to feature newcomer Aled to the OS.
