The two-day festival will return to the hills, bringing back the good vibes to Genting Highlands this 20 to 21 July 2024
After much anticipation and curiosity, Good Vibes Festival is thrilled to invite festival-goers to once again traverse the tree-lined driveway of Genting Highlands. Returning to its much-loved two-day format, the festival is set to take place on 20 to 21 July at Resorts World Awana, specifically at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (GHPO) bus parking lot, and promises to bring back the good vibes with Peggy Gou, J Balvin, Joji and Russ as headliners. Due to popular demand, the festival will be opening its doors to music lovers aged 16 years old and above.
Fresh off her stint at Coachella, Peggy Gou (“(It Goes Like) Nanana”, “Starry Night”), who kicked off the excitement for Good Vibes Festival this year by dropping her tour dates on Instagram, is set to headline the festival. With her knack for innovation and viral hits, the Berlin-based South Korean's electrifying sets effortlessly blend techno, house, and electro, captivating audiences worldwide. Joining Peggy Gou is Colombian sensation, J Balvin (“LA CANCIÓN”, “Mi Gente”), who also had a wildly successful run at Coachella this year, and whose massive popularity and influence have solidified his position as one of the best-selling Latin music artists worldwide.
Next, get ready to sing in unison to the chart-toppers, “Glimpse of Us" and “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” with the global superstar and master of hauntingly beautiful lyrics, JOJI as he captivates audience. Joining him on stage is the enigmatic and multifaceted rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, Russ (“Zoo”, “Shake the Snow Globe”). Emerging from the Atlanta-area underground scene, his mainstream breakthrough came with the platinum-certified album "There's Really a Wolf." With melodic hooks and introspective lyrics, Russ has solidified his position as one of the most influential artists in modern hip-hop.
Adding to the lineup is Alec Benjamin (“Let Me Down Slowly”, “Water Fountain”) the Vancouver quartet, Peach Pit (“Peach Pit”, “Seventeen,”) and the most followed up-and-coming artist on TikTok with over 5 million followers, Henry Moodie (“drunk text”, “beat up car”). one of South Korea’s fastest rising stars, singer-songwriter and actress BIBI (“The Weekend”, “BIBI Vengeance”), Another South Korean on the bill is legendary hip hop artists Tiger JK (“I Want You”, “Do You Know Hip Hop?”) and his wife Yoon Mi-Rae (“ALWAYS”, “FLOWER”) and two rising stars from Singapore and the Philippines respectively, HAVEN (“Ride or Die”, “No Hard Feelings”) and Ylona Garcia (“Entertain Me”, “Don’t Go Changing”).
Day one will see Cherry Bomb, a female DJ supergroup featuring Aidaho, Jovynn, and Ashley Lau commanding the decks plus homegrown hip hop superstars, GARD WUZGUT. Joining them is the indie alternative band Spooky Wet Dreams, Lost Spaces and DJ duo Bad Habits.
Also hitting the stage is Shelhiel (“AAA”, “ Love, Repeat”) who will be playing a DJ set at the Electric Fields stage and DJ DAALIAH (“Big Fish”, “New Ways”) plus local talents I-SKY (“MARI”, “SUARA KAMAR”). Adding to the mix is the Malaysian-born, New York-based artist JAIE
Concluding day one's lineup are the alternative indie siblings FUAD (“Kami, Akhirnya”, “A Way To Find”), BAD M.O.B, and the Kuala Lumpur-based collective Dub Tings.
Day two promises electrifying performances from FORCEPARKBOIS, the charming, Talitha. ("midnight rendezvous", "comeoutside") and Malaysian indie band Capt’n Trips and The Kid (“Somewhere”, “Pond”).
For all the night revellers, brace yourselves to go wild on the dance floor as Mr Yang unleashes his hypnotic beats and wicked mixes on the decks. Naufal plus SaturdaySelects and all-girl lineup, EMO NIGHT KL.
As the second act from Malaysia to play for the international live music series Audiotree, The Filters (“BZD”, “John Pine”) will bring their own unique blend of fractional math rock to the stage, Mardiana ("I DON’T CARE", "Please Just Stay In Love"), TY:DEL (“so in love (tonight)”, Afaro (“Cloud Nine” and Alfie Rrari.
Tickets for this year's festival will be released in multiple phases with price increments in between each release, in order to incentivise early purchases. All GVF2023 ticket holders will receive a 10% discount code to use when buying this year's tickets, which they will receive via email. Those who opted to defer their GVF2023 tickets will receive this year’s tickets in the category and quantity equivalent to the ticket they purchased, along with a RM100 F&B voucher.
