For the first time, Singapore-based production ‘Happy Ever Laughter’ crosses the border to bring joy through some truly wicked humour. Slated to take place from 26 May to 28 May at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, the ‘Happy Ever Laughter’ brand is one of the longest running stand-up comedy shows in Singapore.
To celebrate its 6th season, IMC Live Global will be presenting a fun-filled comedy extravaganza, especially for Malaysian audiences to experience non-stop laughs and enjoyment. Featuring prominent comedians in all their seasons, Happy Ever Laughter – The Comedy Causeway Edition will treat fans to a raucous night of neighbourly revelry.
To commemorate its 11th anniversary, this show has been meticulously produced exclusively for Malaysia fans and will feature an exciting mix of 9 outstanding comics. From internet sensations to award-winning comedians, the stellar list includes Dim Sum Dolly, Selena Tan. Selena will helm the show while she joshes with eight other celebrated stand-up comedians. When asked about her thoughts, Selena revealed, “We are so thrilled that IMC Global has come on our Comedy Joyride across the causeway and straight to the heart of Malaysia, our neighbour, our friend and our comedic partner in crime. It is also my privilege to work with Singapore’s best stand-ups Rishi, Fuzz, Suhaimi, Sharul, Jacky & Jinx. They have made Singapore and the world roar with laughter, and I can’t wait till they light KL up this May. On top of that, two of Malaysia’s super stand-ups, known the world over – Harith and Douglas will surely fly the flag high.”
Harith Iskander, whose name is synonymous with the “Godfather of Stand-Up Comedy" in Malaysia, won the Asia's Best Stand-Up Comedian Award 2014 and even had the opportunity to release a Netflix original comedy special. If this does not justify his popularity, his comedy tour would certainly offer an indication. In 2018, Harith ran his own #KitaOK Live Comedy Tour 2018 in Malaysia and received an overwhelming response. The tour went on to Australia, making a presence internationally. Not forgetting, Douglas Lim, King of Malaysian comedy, will be gracing the stand-up comedy as well. Douglas has carved a name for himself in the industry through his wit and skilful observations, fans can expect a night of rapid-fire laughs from the talented artiste. Other renowned comedians include one of Singapore’s most popular comics, Rishi Budhrani and prominent Singapore comedic actor, Suhaimi Yusof. Fakkah Fuzz made his mark on the Singapore stand-up landscape after his Netflix special ‘Almost Banned’. The list continues with famed internet personalities, Jacky and Jinx with their offbeat, irreverent sense of humour. Last but not least, one of the top female comedians in the region, a true comedic force of nature, Sharul Channa.
Happy Ever Laughter – The Comedy Causeway Edition will be loaded up with hysterical non-stop performances to fit everybody’s comedic tastes. Tickets will be available at RM128 (CAT 1) and RM108 (CAT 2) via All Access Asia and Ticket Charge on 20 April, at 11AM.
